May graduated from King's College London in 2012 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). She was called to the English bar as a Barrister-at-law in 2013 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. May also obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) with Distinction from BPP Law School in London in 2014. She was admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2015 after completing her pupillage with Skrine, one of the largest law firms in Malaysia. May is also a STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Affiliate, and has passed the STEP certificate in international trust management exam with Distinction.
Her interest in trusts and estate planning stems from her desire to help families continue their legacies and provide for their families in a sustainable way. May joined Low & Partners in 2019 and currently practises in the areas of succession and family law matters, where her focus areas are private trusts, probate and administration, mediation and uncontested family matters. She believes that settling disputes through mediation is an expedient way to settle domestic disputes and helps foster better relationships between parties.
