Education and Research Institutions

  1. Advised Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in respect of the following matters: 
  • A proposed collaboration with Farm Fresh Berhad (formerly known as Holstein Milk Company) involving the development and operation of a dairy farm and agro-tourism facilities, including drafting the term sheet for the Memorandum of Agreement. 
  • Its distance learning programmes, including reviewing and drafting the relevant documentation. 
  • The grant of scholarships to students under the Graduate Research Fellowship Programme, including drafting the Graduate Research Fellowship Agreement. 
  • The publication of copyrighted academic works, including drafting Publication Agreements for the Journal of Asian Linguistic Anthropology.
  • The termination of the appointment of My Care Concierge Sdn Bhd for the management of elderly-care services at the Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing (MyAgeing™), including drafting the Termination of Management Services Agreement. 
  • The operation of Putra Business School managed by Yayasan Putra Business School, including drafting the Tripartite Agreement. 
  • The proposed collaboration with Telekom Malaysia Berhad involving post-quantum cryptography algorithm development, including reviewing and drafting the relevant collaboration documentation. 
  • The supply, delivery, installation, commissioning and training for medical simulators and clinical training equipment for Hospital Pengajar Universiti Putra Malaysia, including drafting the relevant Services Agreement. 
  • The fabrication, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of a Pilot Crude Palm Oil Extraction System for Universiti Putra Malaysia, including drafting and reviewing the relevant technical and commercial documentation. 

Legal Advisory 

2. Provided legal opinion to Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad in respect of the legality and admissibility of electronic and digital signatures under Malaysian law for use in its Personal Financing documentation. 

3. Advised Laduni Services Sdn Bhd in respect of its appointment as advertising agency for aircraft advertising on AirAsia aircraft for the State Government of Terengganu, including drafting the Aircraft Advertising Services Agreement. 

4. Advised Nicholls PLC (owner of the ‘Vimto’ brand) in respect of advertising and marketing compliance relating to product claims and representations in Malaysia. 

5. Advised Lactalis Trading Malaysia Sdn Bhd in respect of teledirect and contact-centre support services, including reviewing the Master Services Agreement and advising on data protection implications.
