The common charges in Malaysia includes:
- Section 378 of the Penal Code, which shall be punished with imprisonment may extend to 7 years OR with fine OR both or subsequent offence shall be punished with imprisonment AND fine OR
- Section 379A of the Penal Code, which shall be punished with imprisonment of not less than 1 year and not more than 7 years AND
- Section 380 of the Penal Code, which shall be punished with imprisonment extend to 10 years AND fine.
