Digital Banking & Fintech
- Provided legal advice and services to Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) in respect of its strategic partnership with Backbase Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd. to deploy advanced front-end channels and microservices, aimed at transforming BMMB's digital banking platform.
2. Provided legal advice and services to Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) in respect of its strategic initiative to revolutionize its banking operations through the implementation of a digital core banking solution with Mambu Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.
3. Advised BIMB Investment Management Berhad in respect of the licensing of a robo-advisory platform and related services, including maintenance and technical support services, for the provision of Digital Investment Management Services. This includes drafting the Licensing and Services Agreement.
4. Advised BIMB Investment Management Berhad in respect of the appointment of Aspire NXT for cloud implementation services, virtual private cloud rental services and managed virtual private cloud services relating to BIMB Investment’s Smart Investment Digital Platform. This includes drafting the relevant Services Agreement.
5. Advised BIMB Investment Management Berhad in respect of the appointment of Karvy Computershare (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as its Registrar and Transfer Agent, including drafting the Master Services Agreement governing registrar services, transfer agency services, data migration services and mobile application development services.
6. Advised Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad in respect of its Services Agreement with Hewlett-Packard (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd relating to data centre and disaster recovery centre services.
7. Advised Waafi Bank Ltd in respect of its proposed digital banking operations in Malaysia, including multiple material outsourcing arrangements, liaising with the Labuan Financial Services Authority, and drafting the Master Services Agreement with Salaam African Bank.
8. Advised Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB Bank) in respect of the drafting and negotiation of the As-Sidq System Licensing Agreement and the Escrow Agreement.
9. Advised Al Rajhi Banking & Investment Corporation (Malaysia) Berhad in respect of the escrow arrangement relating to the source code and licensed software provided to the bank, including drafting and negotiating the Escrow Agreement.
10. Advised Myswitch Sdn Bhd in respect of its multi-channel financial switching and digital payments platform, including drafting the Merchant Acquiring Services Agreement, reviewing the Licensing and Services Agreement with Mine Financial Group, and drafting the Outsourcing Services Agreement with Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad for settlement and merchant acquiring services.
Major ICT System Development, Digitalisation & Licensing
11. Advised Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad in respect of the appointment of an escrow agent for the deposit of the source code and related materials and documentation associated with the Workforce Management System, including reviewing, amending and finalising the Single Beneficiary Access Credentials with Source Code Escrow Agreement.
12. Advised Teraju Bumiputera Corporation Sdn Bhd in respect of the Technology Adoption Intervention Programme for Bumiputera manufacturers using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness system, including drafting the Services Agreement to be executed between Teraju Bumiputera Corporation Sdn Bhd and MARA Aerospace & Technologies Sdn Bhd.
13. Advised Majlis Amanah Rakyat in respect of the development of its Enterprise Resource Planning System, including:
- reviewing the Software Licence and Support Agreement with SAP Malaysia Sdn Bhd,
- drafting the Enterprise Resource Planning Development Services Agreement with Vantage Point Consulting Sdn Bhd,
- reviewing the Independent Verification and Validation Services Agreement with Custommedia Sdn Bhd.
14. Advised Majlis Amanah Rakyat in respect of its Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions services, including drafting the Services Agreement.
15. Advised Universiti Putra Malaysia in respect of a wide range of information technology and system development matters, including:
- drafting and reviewing system development agreements,
- drafting Services Agreements for the Total Hospital Information System, MyVendor platform, wireless network solutions, broadband services, database design tools, reporting tools and user interface tools,
- drafting tenancy agreements, virtual private network rental agreements, data centre agreements and telecommunication systems agreements,
- drafting Services Agreements relating to system consultancy and information technology procurement tools.
16. Advised Custommedia Sdn Bhd in respect of various information technology projects, including reviewing template Independent Verification and Validation Services Agreements, reviewing Teaming Agreements for procurement proposals, and drafting Memoranda of Agreement for joint information technology proposals.
17. Advised Custommedia Sdn Bhd in respect of the licensing arrangement with TRON Forum Japan to establish and operate the Ubiquitous ID Center in Malaysia, including reviewing the relevant licensing documentation.
18. Advised Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in respect of the implementation, technical services, training and support for its Integrated Medical Information System, including drafting the Services Agreement.
19. Advised Pernec Integrated Network Systems Sdn Bhd in respect of:
- drafting the CYSECA Software Licensing and Services Agreement,
- advising on enterprise resource planning implementation involving MERP Technologies,
- drafting the Collaboration Letter for software field trials.
20. Advised Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia in respect of various information technology related matters, including drafting template System Licensing and Services Agreements, Hardware Supply Services Agreements and Maintenance and Technical Support Services Agreements.
21. Advised GATES IT Solution Sdn Bhd in respect of the licensing and commercialisation of its software applications for local authorities, including drafting Applications Preparation Agreements, smart device rental agreements and template Licensing and Services Agreements.
22. Advised GATES IT Solution Sdn Bhd in respect of drafting User Terms of Use for multiple platforms, including myPATIL (local authority licensing system), GATES Pay (payment gateway platform) and GATES Biz (business platform).
23. Advised a local research institution in respect of a collaboration for the development and implementation of an e-commerce platform aimed at enhancing and optimising the herbal industry supply chain in Malaysia, including drafting, negotiating and finalising the tripartite collaboration agreement for the development and implementation of the platform.

24. Advised Universiti Putra Malaysia in respect of telecommunications and network infrastructure arrangements with various service providers, including reviewing and drafting the relevant Services Agreements, as follows:
- TT Dotcom Sdn Bhd – telecommunications system infrastructure for Universiti Putra Malaysia, including drafting the Services Agreement.
- NTT MSC Sdn Bhd – virtual private network rental services for Universiti Putra Malaysia, including drafting the Virtual Private Network Rental Services Agreement.
- Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd – wireless network system and broadband services for Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus, including drafting the Services Agreements.
- Telekom Malaysia Berhad – Internet Broadband Service Agreement for Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus, including reviewing and drafting the relevant agreement.
