Kartiga graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Reading in 2022 and subsequently completed her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2023. She completed her pupillage in 2024 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2025.
Her interest in family law began during her early days in law school, where she was drawn to the human-centred nature of the field. With that in mind, she sought a pupillage experience that would give her practical exposure to family and matrimonial matters. That experience affirmed her commitment to the area, and she has since decided to focus her practice in family law. Kartiga now serves as part of the firm’s Matrimonial Dispute Resolution Department.
Kartiga is drawn to matters that involve the personal and often complex dynamics of marriage, divorce, child custody, and maintenance. Her empathetic approach and keen understanding of the sensitivities involved allow her to support clients through challenging life transitions with clarity and care.
Kartiga believes that legal practice is ultimately about people, not just processes. She is committed to making the law accessible, guiding clients with compassion, and delivering practical solutions that protect their rights and dignity. Her belief in empowering individuals through informed legal advice is what continues to drive her practice.
Kartiga looks forward to contributing meaningfully to the legal profession and expanding her involvement in professional and community-based initiatives in the near future.
