Sharon, an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya is the Head of Criminal Law Department at Low & Partners where she represents clients in complex criminal matters. With a deep understanding of Malaysia’s criminal justice and years of courtroom experience, Sharon has successfully defended individuals from a wide spectrum of criminal charges, from white collar crimes to drug offences, assault and drunk driving.

Prior to joining Low & Partners, Sharon co-founded Vincent, Sharon & Co. and built a reputable legal practice, where she led the firm’s Criminal Law Department. This entrepreneurial experience not only strengthened her leadership and management capabilities but also reinforced fair trial rights. She brings a client-centered approach to every case, ensuring that each client is not only well-informed but also empowered at every stage of the legal process. Whether securing an acquittal, mitigation sentences, remand or challenging procedural irregularities, her advocacy is marked by meticulous preparation, persuasive argumentation and an unwavering commitment to justice.

Guided by a long-standing dream of becoming a psychologist, Sharon brings a deeply human and empathetic perspective to legal practice. Notable Cases:-

A. Criminal Law

  1. Represented a director for a multination companies on Criminal Appeal for a white-collar crime amounting to 2 Million.
  2. Involved and advised in a drug trafficking offence under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 - 50kg of methamphetamine.
  3. Involved and advised in a murder offence under Section 302 of the Penal Code where the husband murdered the wife and did not flee.
  4. Involved and advised in sexual offence (i.e Rape) of a 6-year-old child.
  5. Involved and advised in an assault and personal injury offence with a dangerous weapon (knife).
  6. Involved and advised in a gang robbery of five suspects, armed with dangerous weapon (guns) – brought for a “roadshow”.
  7. Involved and advised in a drunk driving offence, punishment of at least RM10,000 fine, imprisonment not exceeding two years and disqualification of driving license for at least two years. Successfully granted a good behavior bond where he is given a second chance with no imprisonment, no fine, avoids conviction, but remain under supervision with conditions of bond for two years.
  8. Advised in domestic violence where spouse assaulted children led to a criminal proceeding where police report and medical report are the keys of the case.
  9. Involved and advised in online gambling offence involving 20 suspects from the Company where 4 percent commissions are given to the syndicate for each case.

B. Family Law

  1. Involved and advised in divorceJoint Petition and Single Petition involving matrimonial dispute amounting to RM800,000 and arrangement of the 3 children access.
  2. Involved and advised in domestic violence and custody of children towards a 14-year-old child which led to a divorce proceeding between spouses and child protection application. Successfully granted a child protection order at the High Court of Malaya.
  3. Involved and advised in annulment and declaration in complex family law cases involving domestic violence and adultery heard before the Kuala Lumpur High Court of Malaya.
  4. Involved and advised in variation order pertaining to the maintenance of spouse and children from RM10,000 maintenance to RM5,000 on the grounds of financial hardship and spouse’s ability to sustain her living expenses.
